Synopsis
Erroll Babbage (Richard Gere), an agent in the Department of Public Safety, is responsible for keeping an eye on sex offenders. In the three weeks before Erroll's planned retirement, a young girl is abducted. He determines to find her, despite the fact he must also train his replacement, Allison Lowry (Claire Danes). After he finds a clue in a newspaper, Erroll hits the ground running, Allison in tow. They question a battered woman (KaDee Strickland), stopping at nothing to find the victim.
