  • While inspecting the mine of Mary's Grandfather, Buck Gordon and Mary Gray narrowly escape an explosion; realizing someone was secretly working the mine, Mary returns home.

  • After searching all night for the rustlers who attacked the saloon, Gordon returns to the Mulford ranch.

  • After climbing from the well into which he has crashed, Gordon returns to Mulford's ranch; Radigan, the foreman, learns that Gordon has sent for Pat Campbell.
