  • Nogi of the Marubishi Corporation travels to the Republic of Balka to recover an overpayment of $90 million, but he soon runs into trouble.

  • Chinggis and the minister of foreign affairs demand that the Japanese embassy hand over Nogi and Kaoru; Nozaki discovers the meaning of the word, "vivant."

  • Nogi hunts for Kaoru in the desert; Nogi is accused of embezzling the funds.

  • Nozaki and the police rush to Ohta's home, but she is nowhere to be found; after confiscating her belongings, they make a shocking discovery.

  • Questions surrounding Yamamoto's death lead Nozaki to investigate Nogi's identity; meanwhile, Nogi meets with someone to discuss his next objective.

  • Nogi yearns to meet Tent leader Beki Noghon, who he believes to be his long-lost father; he discusses his life and motivations with his alter ego.
