On the day of Magda's funeral, Zawieja makes a desperate attempt to track down her elusive killer; at Goleniów prison, the interrogation of a notoriously dangerous inmate breeds new clues and even more suspicions about Magda's murder.
When Strzelecki takes over the case, Zawieja defies orders as she follows the killer's trail to a remote, war-torn island; while the threat of an accomplice looms large, Zawieja acts on a hunch that could finally bring the newborn to safety.
