At first glance the Robertsons look like a typical Louisiana family who lives for duck hunting season. A closer look, however, reveals they live very well because of duck hunting season. The Robertsons own and operate Duck Commanders, which specializes in fabricating duck calls and decoys out of salvaged swamp wood. The company has grown from a mom-and-pop operation to a multimillionaire sporting empire, established in 1973 by family patriarch Phil (aka the Duck Commander) and now run by his business-savvy son, Willie. "Duck Dynasty" follows the Robertsons and their booming business, which also employs Willie's wife, Korie, his brother Jase and Uncle Si, a Vietnam vet and colorful character who keeps the guys in the workshop occupied with his many stories.

Jase and Si damage a samurai sword that was given to Willie from a Japanese business associate; Willie and Phil give Sadie shooting lessons.
The guys pig out at a new doughnut shop; Si wins a camper in a raffle and uses it as his personal office; Phil and Miss Kay drag Willie along on a furniture-buying excursion.
The Duck Commander guys go on strike when Willie implements motivational work tactics; Miss Kay brings her home cooking to the streets of West Monroe.
NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer visits the warehouse, leading to a drag race showdown between Willie and Clint; Phil and Si attempt to fix Miss Kay's barbecue.
The Robertson family gears up for the holidays; Miss Kay creates a special four-meat dish; Willie plays Santa at a church event for children; Jase and the men attempt to put up Christmas lights.

Willie's Saturday afternoon HR training seminar for the team proves to be unproductive; Phil and Kay's long-distance trek to purchase a new washer and dryer turns into an epic adventure.
