Synopsis
Al Pagura (Joseph Bottoms) is a NASCAR star looking for another win. Andrea Lombardo (Marla Heasley) is an inventor who needs a driver for her cutting-edge engine. They meet at the Charlotte, N.C., motor speedway, and there is instant chemistry, professionally and personally. But word of the engine reaches Vincent Duplain (George Kennedy), a crew member under Al's rival, Kenny Landruff (Marc Singer). Duplain kidnaps Andrea, and Al tries to rescue her and her engine in time for the next race.
