Synopsis
Canadian expatriate housewife Barbara Jackson (Ellen Burstyn) and her husband, Bob (Ronald Hines), are shocked out of their 1960s suburban malaise when British intelligence agent Stewart (Alan Bates) shows up at their door and wants to use their house for a stakeout. Stewart reveals that their neighbor Helen Schaefer (Teri Garr) and her husband, Peter (Daniel Benzali), are undercover KGB spies, and Barbara must choose between friendship and patriotism.
