Ed makes a disturbing discovery on his boat and fears his past is coming back to haunt him, especially when he learns that a former naval colleague is dead and another has gone missing; Abbie's relationship with Ryan intensifies.
After a private investigator unearths an incident from his past, Ed becomes the prime suspect when a body washes up on the beach; his life starts to unravel as Abbie turns against him and his marriage disintegrates.
While on the run and trying to clear his name, Ed struggles to evade the police as his family questions his innocence; when Abbie is kidnapped, he is forced to confront an old nemesis.
