Prosecutors revisit the 1982 disappearance of Bob's first wife, Kathie and seek to prove the involvement of Berman; Bob's pal Nick Chavin takes the stand after the discovery of a secret recording.
When Bob's longtime lawyer and confidant Stewart Altman takes the stand, prosecutor Lewin accuses him of being evasive; Altman's wife Emily becomes distraught under questioning, revealing crucial new details; Bob decides he'll testify.
The family hopes to find closure as they await the conviction for Kathie Durst's murder; Bob takes the stand and tells his version of events, but prosecutor Lewin examines the story a bit more closely.
Found guilty of Susan Berman's murder, Bob is sentenced to life in prison, but dies in jail a few months later; seeking closure in his wife Kathie's murder, her family files a lawsuit against Bob's estate.
