Synopsis
Fed up with war and the treatment of their people, a group of European Jews sets out to found a new homeland amid the harsh climate of Palestine in 1919. Along with having to fight off attacks by native tribesmen, the young couples find their relationships straining, with Anda (Kelly McGillis), a beautiful doctor who has traveled abroad with Marcus (John Shea), a musician, beginning an affair with Amnon (Arnon Zadok). Meanwhile, the group's leader lusts after Anda as well.
