More about The White Room Challenge

The most anticipated and artistic challenge that kicks off each season of "Design Star" -- the White Room Challenge -- becomes its own competition series. Hosted by David Bromstad, who experienced this very challenge on his way to winning the inaugural "Design Star," each episode features four designers from around the country who compete to transform a blank canvas of a room into an outrageous, one-of-a-kind space using a variety of unconventional materials. The winner receives the grand prize of $10,000, awarded by a judging panel headed by HGTV's Jamie Durie.
