Synopsis
Some may not be familiar with the name Kym Whitley, but given her extensive resume, there's a good chance you've seen her (or heard her voice) in a TV show or movie during the last 20 years. The actress and comic steps into the spotlight with a reality series featuring a group of her friends that she calls "The Village" doing something none of them has done before: Raise a baby. When Kym agreed to mentor a troubled girl, she didn't expect to get a call from a hospital telling her that "her" baby is ready. She learns that the girl she was set to mentor left the maternity ward, giving only Kym's contact information, so the actress had less than an hour to make a life-changing decision of whether or not to become the child's mother. After she decided to raise baby Joshua, the Village came together to help her face the realities of being a full-time mom. Among the challenges Kym has is trying to be just friends with Joshua's father.Cast
