Synopsis
Leonardo DiCaprio is among the executive producers of this four-part, eight-hour docuseries that tells stories of adventurous trailblazers who helped establish a permanent settlement on the American frontier. The series spans the first 75 years of the United States -- from the Revolution to the California Gold Rush -- where pioneers such as Daniel Boone, Lewis & Clark, Davy Crockett and Andrew Jackson set forth across uncharted land with determination and self-reliance. The frontier icons are portrayed in dramatized re-enactments, and experts and survivalists comment in exclusive interviews.
