Synopsis
A World War II veteran, Joe Miracle (Glenn Ford), comes home to find that his nightclub has been taken over by gangsters and his business partner has been killed. After reclaiming the money that is rightfully his, he is forced to hide out in a settlement house due to a case of mistaken identity. There, he befriends the house manager, Jenny Jones (Evelyn Keyes). While being pursued by gangsters and a persistent journalist, Joe learns a valuable lesson about altruism.Cast
