Synopsis
The seductive Phyllis Dietrichson (Samantha Eggar) manipulates insurance agent Walter Neff (Richard Crenna) into murdering her husband and staging the crime as an accident, so that she can cash in on her late spouse's life insurance policy and split the money with Walter. Initially, the scheme works to perfection -- but before long, tensions and suspicions rise between Phyllis and Walter. Meanwhile, Walter's superior (Lee J. Cobb) begins to think that something is off about the Dietrichson case.
