Ash's journey along the Great Wall of China begins at the furthest point to the East, at an ancient section known as the Chu Great Wall; Ash heads to the Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City, to learn some of their ancient practices.
Ash looks at the wildlife conservation efforts near Beijing and visits the village of Shixia, where the community is actively committed to preserving two construction sections of the Great Wall of China, which is in danger of falling apart.
Ash investigates one of the oldest sections of the Great Wall in Zhangjiakou, which has been fortified by eight successive dynasties and delves into the footsteps of ancient explorers in Wulong.
Ash camps near the Qin section of the Great Wall, waits for the sun to rise, wrestles with an Inner Mongolian champion, learns desert survival techniques from an expert and searches for a lost city.
Following the Great Wall west, Ash heads to Inner Mongolia to meet up with a nomadic family and to try Mongolian wrestling; he's hoping to visit Naadam Festival, which features a key part of Mongolian culture, horseracing.
