Synopsis
On Nov. 3, 2016, Kala Brown, 30, is found chained to a wall inside a shipping container on Todd Kohlhepp's property in Woodruff, S.C. Brown is held captive for two months after witnessing the shooting death of her boyfriend, Charles David Carver, 32. Following her rescue, Brown reveals to investigators that her captor is responsible for many more crimes than the police ever suspected. Ultimately, Kohlhepp pleads guilty to seven murders. In Investigation Discovery's three-part limited series, investigative journalist Maria Awes sets out to learn the true extent of the serial killer's crimes, the ones authorities know about and the additional one he claims to have committed.
